An acclaimed islamabad dancer, Farooq Chaudhry hails from a rich business and literary family. His grandfather ran Chaudhry hosiery mills and his father, Abdur-Rehman Chaudhry, taught mathematics at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Government College University in Lahore. Nighat Chaudhry, a trained Sufi and Mystique Kathak classical dancer, was born in Lahore, Pakistan, and moved to the United Kingdom when she was a baby. She was trained in ballet, contemporary dance, and modern dance, but was inspired to study classical Kathak after meeting Nahid Siddiqui. After her training in London, she decided to return home to Pakistan and pursue her passion for the art form.
